Guilty Bystander

Not sure where or how we've gotten off to be a world chock full of guilty bystanders; scared to take a stand for what is right and just. "Passive" would not begin to describe this contagious disease, or should I say dis-ease. You would hope most would think you are straddling the fence post. You have convinced yourself that you have not taken a side, and you are just going to play this one safe.

Let us get back to the days of old. Where society will not look down on a man or woman for taking a stand for what is right and biblically sound. Where being politically correct isn't "cool" and "hip." Don't take a stand for what you are against, but take a stand for what you are for. Don't overcome evil with evil, but overcome evil with good. You may just get caught up at the right place at the right time and find yourself being a guilty bystander.  Stand up, Christian.

Love me to Death

Under the right circumstances and situations, you could love me to death and I would let you. You could slowly enable me right to an early grave, and I would let you. For all are looking for love in some way. Some are "looking for love in all the wrong places," just like the song. You may view being loved by how many times you have been bailed out of trouble by a friend or family member. You may even feel loved by how much money they give you in time of need. Maybe I should write this song: "There is a bigger problem with giving 'love' in all the wrong ways."

Do you know who is to blame? The giver. Not the receiver. You may want the best for that loved one, but failing miserably delivering it to them. You are not wanting to see them struggle, but IT'S OK TO STRUGGLE from time to time. Let God have a chance to deliver them. A Doctor is for those that are sick, not for the healed. Remember, you have to crack a few eggs to make a cake. The end of things is better than the beginning. Love me enough to give me life, but please don't love me to death.

Powerlessness

Powerlessness. What a powerful word, and a little hard to say. It is even more difficult to admit. We are all powerless over something in our life. I would venture to say there's something in your life you're battling against that you'll never win on your own accord. It is because we are powerless. Trying to be in control of every little detail and worrying over every little flaw is tiring.  It is time to pick our fights. The acknowledgment of your own personal powerlessness is a huge side step to let God through to do what you can't. You can't fight Gods fight. You'll never win. Let's not dump our problems on God , but let's ask Him to step in and take control. Lord of all creation, move my mind and heart so your will can be done. I'm laying it down at your feet to never return to me again. I trust that you'll know what to do with it. I am powerless. In Jesus name ...
