Desires of the Heart. Sounds beautiful doesn't it? Desiring to have more than what my mind can comprehend. Beyond the realm of imagination and past all human understanding, lies my heart's desires. It is a perfect Gift given at the right place and right time, it is never late, it is always on time. I can't put my finger on or wrap my mind around my hearts desires, for it's a gift given from above. It will be exactly what I wanted and needed. It is perfectly designed for me. Thank You, ahead of time, for the perfect Gift.

Sometimes I Feel Like a Squirrel
"Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't." To be completely honest, I sometimes feel more like a squirrel. Running back and forth across a path that is highly traveled. At times, I have watched my life pass right before my eyes, completely undecided which way to go. I have mercifully dodged destruction in the middle of this highway, while in plain sight I could see my Safety in the hedges. My family watches as I painstakingly choose to live most of my life inside the clearly painted lines. They begin to pray. 'Dear Heavenly Father that reigns supreme over all things, please hear our cry. Spare the life of our loved one, but Your will be done.' Clear their minds enough to see the Protection of Your hedge that surrounds them. Nudge their heart, Lord, so they will choose to step out of the road of chaos and destruction and into Your stronghold of protection in Jesus Christ's Holy and Precious Name, AMEN.

Guilty Bystander
Not sure where or how we've gotten off to be a world chock full of guilty bystanders; scared to take a stand for what is right and just. "Passive" would not begin to describe this contagious disease, or should I say dis-ease. You would hope most would think you are straddling the fence post. You have convinced yourself that you have not taken a side, and you are just going to play this one safe.
Let us get back to the days of old. Where society will not look down on a man or woman for taking a stand for what is right and biblically sound. Where being politically correct isn't "cool" and "hip." Don't take a stand for what you are against, but take a stand for what you are for. Don't overcome evil with evil, but overcome evil with good. You may just get caught up at the right place at the right time and find yourself being a guilty bystander. Stand up, Christian.

Love me to Death
Under the right circumstances and situations, you could love me to death and I would let you. You could slowly enable me right to an early grave, and I would let you. For all are looking for love in some way. Some are "looking for love in all the wrong places," just like the song. You may view being loved by how many times you have been bailed out of trouble by a friend or family member. You may even feel loved by how much money they give you in time of need. Maybe I should write this song: "There is a bigger problem with giving 'love' in all the wrong ways."
Do you know who is to blame? The giver. Not the receiver. You may want the best for that loved one, but failing miserably delivering it to them. You are not wanting to see them struggle, but IT'S OK TO STRUGGLE from time to time. Let God have a chance to deliver them. A Doctor is for those that are sick, not for the healed. Remember, you have to crack a few eggs to make a cake. The end of things is better than the beginning. Love me enough to give me life, but please don't love me to death.

Powerlessness
Powerlessness. What a powerful word, and a little hard to say. It is even more difficult to admit. We are all powerless over something in our life. I would venture to say there's something in your life you're battling against that you'll never win on your own accord. It is because we are powerless. Trying to be in control of every little detail and worrying over every little flaw is tiring. It is time to pick our fights. The acknowledgment of your own personal powerlessness is a huge side step to let God through to do what you can't. You can't fight Gods fight. You'll never win. Let's not dump our problems on God , but let's ask Him to step in and take control. Lord of all creation, move my mind and heart so your will can be done. I'm laying it down at your feet to never return to me again. I trust that you'll know what to do with it. I am powerless. In Jesus name ...

Cheap Shots
It's the 11th round of a boxing match. A title belt bout for the rest of your life. Would you throw in the towel after taking a few cheap shots below the belt? I assure you the Referee will not put up with cheap shots. He'll stop the fight, and disqualify your opponent.
You are well into the fight and it seems you are doing all you can do just to stand. Then, the bell rings (ding! ding!). With your back in the corner, you finally get to take a short breather. You're receiving instruction, and encouragement from your team. You hear things like; "there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus." "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." "You're an Overcomer!" "You're more than a conqueror!"
The bell rings for the final round and your opponent comes out swinging. He's after your title. He's after your witness. You're giving it your all, but it doesn't seem to be enough. He hits you with a jab of accusation, an upper cut of condemnation, then a fierce combo of lies. You're staggering around with no sight and swollen eyes. Deafened by the crowd's cries. I have no sense of where I am, or where I'm going. It's all by faith from here on out.
As the enemy moves in for his final blow I hear a voice rise above it all... "I Am with you always." The final blow makes an impact, but it was a cheap shot. The Referee calls the fight, and holds me up in victory. It doesn't take a knock out punch for a victory. The battle is already won, but the fight isn't over. Start well, finish well. Endure to the end. After doing all you can do to stand, Christian. Stand.

Don't Judge Me!
I'll be the first to say I'm guilty of judging. I've judged a book by its cover, people by their family members, and a list of other ways that are undesirable. I was dead wrong. I also have made plenty of righteous judgments. I've judged whether or not I should keep going out with those "friends" that party, cuss, and fight. I made my judgment and said, no. I've even judged my friends' behavior and actions, and realized they were/are in full active addiction. I called them out, gently, out of love. That judgment may one day save their life. Listen, folks, a RIGHTEOUS judgment saved YOUR life! Christ judged you righteously. for He is a righteous judge. We can judge others in the flesh, or we can judge them righteously in the Spirit. It can be done by genuinely caring for the interest of others. So the next time someone blows the whistle on you, remember, not all judgment is wrong, for a righteous judgment could, or has saved your life.
